HOSE REELS
Fire hose reels are located to provide a reasonably accessible
and controlled supply of water to combat a fire.
The length of a fully extended fire hose is normally between
30 and 36 metres. These appliances are designed to deliver
a minimum of 20 litres of water per minute.
A control nozzle
attached to the end of the hose enables the operator to control
the direction and flow of water to the fire.
Australian Standards nominate installation and maintenance
requirements. Automatic Fire Protection also supply Fire Hose Reel Cabinets.
HYDRANTS
Hydrant Systems are installed within properties for use by the relevent fire authority, however they may also be used by trained personnel.
Hydrant Systems are designed and installed to meet the requirements of the Building Code of Australia and Australian Standard ASZ419.1
Hydrant Systems should also be regularly inspected, tested and maintained to ensure readiness for use.
